GE13 - RIP Democracy

6 May 2013...

Many Malaysians (including myself) are mourning today. Not because someone great has died, but because democracy itself died in Malaysia today.

What I stood for in this year's was this...

It's not because it's the "IN" thing now but because I believe in it's cause and I too would want to see CHANGE in my beloved country, Malaysia. Why? So that our next generation are able to call Malaysia their home and be proud of it!

I've never been so engrossed in politics as I was before. I grew up listening to the elders telling us not to vote for opposition as it would only cause chaos in the country. So I used to think that the "Basket full of Nothings" were the "Avengers" of our country, protecting the Rakyat and uniting us as one. But as I grew up, I begin to see for myself and my visions became clearer. The grass in Malaysia is not becoming greener...it's becoming filthier as the years goes by and the stench has become overpowering. So 5 years ago, many (including myself) have decided that it's time for some spring cleaning.

When spring cleaning began in 2008, the people responsible for the filth also became more daring and open with their shameful acts, thinking that the Rakyat are still ignorant and blind. But thanks to their aggressively shameful acts, the Rakyat has now awaken and we want to send these people a strong message...

We are NOT stupid and we are definitely NOT blind! We KNOW what is going on and we SEE EVERYTHING that you do!

THEY say that they are FOR unity among the Rakyat...
BUT, they are the CAUSE for division among the Rakyat.

THEY say that they RESPECT all race and religion...
BUT, they are ones who INSTILL racism among the Rakyat.

THEY say that all that they do are for the progression of Malaysia...
BUT, the only thing they are PROGRESSING are their own pockets and bank accounts.

THEY say that they are all for a CLEAN and FAIR election...
BUT, their definition of those 2 words are "Blackout Magic Shows" and "Bus Loads of Phantom Voters".

And where does the Rakyat fit into all these? Raise your hand if you know the answer...

Answer: NOWHERE!!

So now...we will only allow ourselves to mourn for a little while as this is NOT the end of the battle for change. This is a step closer to victory and we will continue to march on in this battle, UNITED and STRONGER than ever before!!! So you better be ready as this is NOT the end to an easy fight, that's just warm up. This is the BEGINNING of the toughest fight of your lives!

You will NEVER be able to put out the fire in our hearts and you will NEVER be able to silent our voice. Cement that into your brain. If you can't find one, write it down. If you don't know how, find someone who does and have it read it out to you!

To all PR candidates who formed the front-line of this battle for change...
>> We SALUTE you!
>> We are proud of all of you, win or lose (you didn't really lose, you just came in
      second this time).
>> As long as the cause is still the same, we will continue to march on with you.
>> We need to come up with a louder wake up call as there are still many heavy
      sleepers out there.
To all Ubah supporters who went out and vote...

>> THANK YOU, TERIMA KASIH, 谢谢大家, நன்றி
>> Do not be disheartened and do not give up.
>> Let's stay UNITED and stay STRONGER than ever!
>> Darkness is only the absence of light. Darkness will not prevail if we continue to
flame the fire burning inside our hearts.
To the others...
>> Eligible to vote but did not bother to register...
>> Registered as voter but decided that you have better things to do than to vote...
>> Undecided and left the phantoms and ghost to decide for you...
>> Voted the side that gave you the most $$$...
This is what you should do...

To all of you Malaysians below 21 years old this year...
>> The FIRST thing to do when you reach the age of 21 is to register yourself to be
an eligible voter THEN you can celebrate your birthday.
>> Do NOT depend on the Malaysian mainstream media for source of information but
also from other sources such as the awesome internet.
>> NEVER to be part of anything that provokes racism and religious insults.
>> Be humble and not easily provoked. You are not brought up to be gangsters.
And now I would end this post with the following...

Let this be the anthem of the cause we are fighting for and continue to carry the torch until we reach our goal for a CLEAN Malaysia!

The Joke Was On Me

Two days before I was thinking of writing a post on all the lame jokes that I've heard or used. But until yesterday evening, I was no longer in the mood for jokes as I felt like a bad joke was on me. So I decided to shelf that thought for the moment until I'm in the mood for jokes again.

Blogging has never been easy for me because when I'm inspired, I don't have my equipments with me and when I have them, I forgot what I wanted to blog about. But I need my blog because when I have no place or person to turn to, I'll just pour out here as if someone's listening. If I want to attach a picture to this post, it's gonna be a picture of a dark storm with rain, lightning and a tornado. Just the thought of that picture made me feel worst, so I decided not to include any pictures in this post.

Recently I asked someone this question..."How does one tell the difference between sincerity and pretend?". The answer given to me was..."Sincerity is when you don't expect something in return of your actions". Yes, I do agree with the answer BUT...WHEN can you tell the difference? It's good if we could tell the difference immediately but that rarely happens. For me, some took years, some took months and some took days. No matter whether it was years or days, it hurts equally.

Is it always about what we can get out of the other? Does friendship need ROI? Meaning, having to calculate the worth of returns for every effort put into that friendship. If the returns are not up to expectation, then drop it. Since when friendship have evolved to become some sort of investment plan? Maybe I missed that memo. What happened to being there for each other in times of need, putting a smile on their face when they are frowning or just giving the other a shoulder to cry on? I think my "Guide To Friendship" is outdated. Maybe there's a Volume II (An updated version) available for download somewhere.

When one gets bitten, usually one should be twice shy. But I've got bitten many times now and I'm still not getting shy. In English we say, "Serves you right!", in Malay we say, "Padan muka!" and in Chinese...erm...sorry, I don't write Chinese. But that's just me.

There's nothing much I could do as I can't control what others do or think. I'll just have to wait for this bad storm to past.
